Loading Customer Data (users, departments and addresses) into product templates using a dataloader is covered in another article.
You can also load what we call "datasets". This can be text from a custom spreadsheet that you can create.
What is a dataset?
Other data, for example - you want to give users a drop down choice of 'Casinos'. The user chooses between
MGM
The Sands
Caesars Palace
Golden Nugget
So if the customer choosers MGM, that would fill the field in the template.
A number of other fields could get filled in too, because MGM might also have a Manager, Location, License #, Capacity, Safety Officer, etc
You can create data sets with up to 50 fields in each row. There aren't any other limits.
To set it up go to Admin>View Product>View Template then click on the top right.
